The Local Scene
Downtown - For a real flavor of the local scene take a stroll downtown and say hello to the friendly people at the library, Buck’s hardware, barber shops/beauty salons, florists and a variety of furniture stores.
Indian Mountain State Park - located in the heart of Jellico, the park offers paddleboats, jogging and hiking trails, a swimming pool, picnic shelters, baseball, basketball and a new skatepark.
Kentucky Splash - “Williamsburg’s Waterpark” is open all summer with a wave pool, lazy river, twisting slides, and a kid’s splash pool. If you want to stay dry, there’s also a putt-putt course, go-kart track and an indoor arcade.
Cumberland Falls - just 35 minutes from Jellico, visitors enjoy the many hiking trails overlooking the waterfall as well as a restaurant with lodge, cabins, tennis courts and pool.

July 4 Weekend Festival Jellico’s Southern Gospel festival filled with the usual fair foods and good neighbors. And fireworks too!
Fall Fest - Over Columbus weekend, locals dress up in old fashioned clothes, serve up country foods and demonstrate molasses processing. Old fashioned contests include pie and ice-cream eating, longest beard, horseshoe throwing and best dressed categories.

National Rock Crawling Competition -Watch trucks climb mountains.
Nibroc Festival - August Festival in Corbin, KY with free outdoor performances featuring world famous artists. Activities are available for all ages.
Old Fashioned Trading Days - Held each September in Williamsburg, KY, this festival takes over the city’s downtown turning it into celebration of Appalachian heritage.
World Chicken Festival - London,KY pays homage to Colonel Sanders of KFC. Come see the world’s largest frying pan!
